9 Days Migration Safaris (Sere, Crater, Manyara, Arusha)
This safari brings you to the Great Migration – a world’s spectacle, involving over 1.5 million wildebeests, and thousands of zebras and gazelles. The event occurs in the Serengeti National Park and its major driving motive is the search for green pasture. The timing of wildebeest migration is not precise since it is not predictable.

Arrive at Kilimanjaro International Airport. If you clear the customs, you will be met by our expert guide. You will be taken to your lodge in Arusha. If you arrive early in the day, you can engage in optional activities. Talk to your guide about your safari and enjoy a night’s rest at the lodge in preparation for the next day.
Today, we drive to Tarangire National Park for a full-day game drive. We drive through 120 km and start the day in this splendid destination. Tarangire offers beautiful views of baobab trees, large herds of elephants, and many wild animals. As we drive, watch out for elephants, buffalos, antelopes, monkeys, and others. We explore Tarangire until the late evening when we head to the camp for dinner and an overnight stay.
After breakfast, we start the journey to Lake Manyara National Park. This national park is nestled at the base of the eastern arm of the Rift Valley. The major highlights of Lake Manyara National Park are tree-climbing lions, Lake Manyara, and pink flamingos. After arriving at Lake Manyara, we eat lunch and proceed on an afternoon game drive. Here, we will encounter elephants, buffalos, wildebeests, antelopes, and others. We then return to the camp for a sundowner, dinner, and overnight stay.
On this day, we transfer to the Serengeti National Park – the most spectacular wildlife sanctuary in the world. We follow the high-lying farmland of Karatu and head to the central Serengeti. We will stop at Olduvai Gorge – the cradle of mankind. It is at this site where the remains of ancient hominids were excavated by the Leakeys.
We then continue our journey to central Serengeti. We will go directly to the lodge for lunch. Later on, we will embark on an afternoon game drive. We drive for the remainder of the day and then return to the camp for a sundowner, dinner, and overnight stay.
Optional Activities
Olduvai Gorge
Today, we wake up early in the morning at around 6:30 a.m. and embark on a morning game drive. On an optional basis, you can start your day with a hot air balloon safari.
The central Serengeti is home to many resident animals, including buffalos, elephants, lions, and others. We explore the Seronera Valley and then drive north of Seronera with a picnic lunch. As we drive through the rolling hills of northern Serengeti. The herd is in this part at this time. We then go to the camp for dinner and overnight stay.

· Hot air balloon safari
After breakfast, we continue our search for the herds of wildebeests in the north of Serengeti. We drive to the Wagakuria area. The wildebeest migration is in this region from August to October, depending on the rainfall patterns. We explore this area with a picnic lunch. After lunch, we continued the search for cheetahs, which are highly concentrated in this area. We may encounter buffalos, antelopes, Thomson’s gazelles, elephants, giraffes, ostriches, and elands. We then return to central Serengeti.
This day, we explored the Serengeti for the last time. We wake up early and go for a morning game drive. After breakfast, we drive to Ngorongoro Conservation Area with a picnic lunch. We explore this World Heritage Site to view some animals. We will encounter herbivores like buffalos, wildebeests, antelopes, and predators like lions, leopards, and cheetahs. We then drive to the camp in Karatu or on the Ngorongoro Highlands. We enjoy sundowner, dinner, and overnight stay.
Optional Activities
Stargazing experience
After breakfast, we drive down to the crater floor. It is renowned for its large concentration of wildlife. In this crater, you can see the Big Five animals. We drive for 4 hours on the crater floor. After lunch, we embark on a journey to Arusha. You will drop at your lodge and rest in preparation for departure the next day.
