6 DAYS SOUTHERN CIRCUIT SAFARI

The southern circuit is a perfect place for unforgettable wildlife safaris. Visitors get the chance to enjoy its serenity and tranquility. It is a gateway from the crowded northern circuit. In this safari program, we take you to the untouched Ruaha, Nyerere, and Mikumi plains, and towering mountains of the Udzungwa Mountains range.

Day 1: Dar es Salaam, then to Nyerere National Park

On the starting day, you will pick up from the hotel or airport and drive to Nyerere National Park. The drive takes about 9 hours. Upon arrival at Nyerere, we head to the camp for lunch. After lunch, you will embark on a boat safari along the Rufiji River. Common encounters when you are on a boat safari include hippos, crocodiles, birds, and monkeys. Later on, you will return to the camp for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 2: Full-day game drive in Nyerere

Start the day uniquely with a morning game drive. Balloon safaris are also available at extra cost. They are a fantastic way to explore nature from atop. In the morning, the sightings of wild animals and birds are guaranteed. After breakfast, we leave the camp with a picnic lunch. We explore the natural beauty and return to the camp for dinner and overnight

Day 3: Mikumi National Park

Our day starts with a morning drive before breakfast. After a buffet breakfast, we depart for Mikumi National Park with a packed lunch. Mikumi hosts a large population of wildlife, birdlife, and stunning landscapes. Dinner and overnight will be in Mikumi.

Day 4: Mikumi to Udzungwa Mountains National Park

We begin our day with a delicious breakfast. We then depart to Udzungwa Mountains National Park. This journey takes around two hours. We aim at hiking the Udzungwa Mountains. Therefore, an armed ranger will accompany for security. We hike for 4 to 5 hours to the Sanje waterfalls. Here, you can bathe and observe birds and monkeys. You will return to the camp in Udzungwa for dinner and stay overnight stay.

Day 5: Ruaha National Park

After breakfast, we start the journey to Ruaha National Park. With lunch box on our way, we spend the rest of the day exploring the richer wildlife of Ruaha. Ruaha’s diverse wildlife and stunning landscapes are captivating. A full-day game drive will reward you with scenic views and unparalleled wildlife encounters.

Day 6: Ruaha to Dar es Salaam

We continue the search for wildlife. You may also embark on a boat safari in the Great Ruaha River. After lunch, we depart from Ruaha to Dar es Salaam. You will be dropped off at your hotel. End of the program
