The southern circuit is lesser-known. It is a perfect option to witness wildlife away from the crowd. In this itinerary, we take you to Nyerere National Park, Ruaha National Park, and Mikumi National Park. For six days, you will explore the landscapes, wildlife, and natural beauty of these parks.

Pick up from your hotel or airport and transfer to Nyerere National Park on a 6-hour journey. Arrive at the camp for dinner and embark on a boat safari. Witness beautiful birds as you paddle. You might also be able to spot hippos, crocodiles, and monkeys in the trees.
Nyerere is the largest national park in Africa. It has richer wildlife and vegetation that remain untouched throughout the year. The giant Rufiji River is the major highlight of this stunning park. It is navigable by boat.
Today, you start the day with a morning game drive. Return to the camp for breakfast. Set off for an afternoon game drive with a picnic lunch at Tagalala. There is a great chance of encountering animals such as elephants, giraffes, buffalos, zebras, hippos, wildebeests, hyenas, and more. Return to the camp for dinner and overnight.
After breakfast, we leave Nyerere for Mikumi National Park. We can pack the lunch or simply arrive at the camp at lunchtime. An afternoon game drive will follow in the Mikumi National Park. We explore the diverse array of flora and fauna species. We then return to the camp for dinner and overnight in Mikumi.
Mikumi boasts many wild animals, including elephants, giraffes, buffalos, wildebeests, zebras, and occasional lions.
Today, we transferred to Ruaha National Park just after breakfast. We will spend a full-day excursion in this park. Ruaha is famous for its large elephant population. The Great Ruaha River is another spectacle found in Ruaha. It is a vital source of water during the dry season.
Common wildlife encounters include elephants, giraffes, buffalos, zebras, greater kudus, and hippos. Others include lions, leopards, and cheetahs. There are small animals like genets, serval cats, and banded wild cats. Antelope species such as roan, impala, sable, eland, reedbuck, hartebeest, and klipspringer.
We will return to the camp for dinner and overnight.
After breakfast, we will go on a walking safari. You explore nature and wildlife up close. Wildlife encounters include lion, leopard, cheetah, wild dog, and hyena. The good thing is that on a walking safari, you can photograph nature and wildlife.
After breakfast, we continue the exploration in the morning. The views of wild animals, including big cats like lions, are appealing. You will also see other wildlife. After lunch, we embark on a journey back to Dar es Salaam. You will be dropped off at your hotel and prepared for the departure the next day.
