The tour starts early at 6:30 a.m. After a pick-up from your hotel in Arusha, we drive via the high-lying farmland of Karatu and Ngorongoro Conservation Area. We then descend into the vast plains of Serengeti – the heart of the African bush. Our first stop is at the central Serengeti. We head to the camp for lunch. After lunch, we go for an afternoon game to explore the Serengeti for the rest of the day.
We start our day as early as 6:30 a.m. and drive through the Seronera area. Expect to see wild animals very active as well as birds. We explore the wild and return to the camp/lodge for breakfast.
After breakfast, we go for an afternoon game drive with a picnic lunch. As we drive, watch out for animals, like wildebeests, zebras, buffalos, elephants, lions, leopards, and many others. We will have a picnic lunch at a designated site and continue the drive. We will return to the camp for dinner and overnight.
Serengeti National Park is famous for its great wildebeest migration, Big Five, and diverse wildlife. The central part is home to resident animals, like buffalos, wildebeests, zebras, elephants, lions, leopards, and many others.
After breakfast, we embark on a last-morning game drive in Serengeti. The grass plains dotted with fig trees, sausage trees, yellow fever trees, and many others make it easier to spot huge herds of grazers from a distance. If you are lucky, you can spot the black rhino – one of the rarest mammals in the Serengeti. It prefers the shrub land where it blends with the surroundings.
Later on, we leave Serengeti National Park for Ngorongoro Conservation Area with a picnic lunch. We explore this World Heritage Site to discover the diversity of animals it hosts. This area is also home to the Maasai tribe, who have managed to coexist with wildlife for centuries. In the late evening, we drive back to the camp where we rest, dine, and sleep.
After breakfast, we descend on the crater floor. Ngorongoro Crater is a breathtaking geographical feature. Its floor supports a diverse population of wildlife ranging from grazers to predators. Some animals that you can see in the crater include elephants, buffalos, lions, hyenas, zebras, antelopes, wildebeests, and many more.
As we drive through the floor, you may witness large herds of wildebeests, buffalos, and zebras grazing in the verdant grass plains. You may also spot some predators like lions, leopards, cheetahs, hyenas, and on occasion African wild dogs.
In the late afternoon, we ascend the crater rim and through the Ngorongoro Highlands on the way to Arusha. We will drop you at your lodge. It is time to say good wishes to your team. Congratulations on your unforgettable adventure in Tanzania.
