Nyerere National Park, formerly part of the Selous Game Reserve, is the largest national park in Tanzania and one of the largest protected areas in Africa, covering over 30,000 square kilometers. It is located in the Southern Circuit and offers an unparalleled wilderness experience with diverse ecosystems, including rivers, lakes, woodlands, and savannahs. The park was named after Julius Nyerere, Tanzania’s founding father, and was established to preserve the natural heritage of the region.

Where is the Selous Game Reserve located?
